Plunge into the fascination and challenge of the future of the mountain world
Large and small-scale exhibitions as well as a rich thematic programme of activities
give visitors a chance to discover new aspects and to enrich their relationship to the world of
mountains. Besides, visitors of all ages have the opportunity to participate in playful
activities.
Special Exhibitions
On the second floor of the Swiss Alpine Museum, in an area of roughly 220m 2 visit the
special exhibitions focusing on such basic topics about the world of mountains as Ecology-Global
Warming-Sustainable Development, Alpinism-Tourism, Maps-Panoramas-Reliefs, Mountain and Travel
Photography.
Foyer Exhibitions
Foyer exhibitions are put on under the two headings >In Focus< and «Presenting Mountains»
Permanent Exhibition
This exhibition is permanently located on two
floors of the museum and provides a predominantly historical insight into significant aspects of the
Swiss Alps on the basis of selected exhibits and interactive info stations.
